Hoban Construction: Preparing partner assessments at the scale of 1,000+ companies

Applying internal review criteria to preliminary checks, grading calculations, and final report preparation.

THE CHALLENGE

The work behind the project.

Hoban Construction’s external cooperation team evaluates more than 1,000 companies against its own qualification criteria. Coxwave worked on automating the preparation behind those assessments, from preliminary review and grade calculations to the final report.

Reviewing such a large set of companies creates a substantial workload. Each assessment must follow the organization’s criteria, so the task involves more than summarizing a company’s documents.

The work also has a defined output: a grade supported by review work and a completed report. Automating one isolated step would leave much of the repeated preparation with the team.

THE APPROACH

From knowledge to execution.

Documented work procedures and examples of real inputs and completed outputs provided the basis for the automation. These materials established both how the team performed a review and what the finished assessment should look like.

  1. 01

    Perform the preliminary review

Carry out the initial assessment work according to the process demonstrated in work procedures and completed examples.

  2. 02

    Calculate the grade

Apply the company’s grading criteria to the assessment inputs and calculate the required scores.

  3. 03

    Prepare the report

Bring the review and scoring work together in the final report format used by the team.

PROJECT OUTCOME

Project scope and outcome.

The project addressed the repeated preparation involved in partner grading as a complete task. The automation scope included preliminary review, score calculation, and final report preparation under the company’s criteria.
